Power adapters should be stored in a dark place, away from windows and other sources of sunlight.

  Furthermore, power adapters should be stored in a location where they are not subject to physical stress or vibration. Stacking heavy objects on top of the adapter or placing it in an area where it may be bumped or jostled can cause internal components to become dislodged or damaged. It is recommended to store power adapters in a protective case or container to prevent physical damage.
